How to convert an MSG file to PDF
Choose the .msg file above. You see every page of the PDF straight away: subject, sender, recipients and date, then the message with its formatting and pictures. Download the PDF, and the attachments as one ZIP.
What is an .msg file?
MSG is the format Microsoft Outlook uses when you drag an e-mail to a folder or save it with "Save As". Without Outlook it does not open, and the new Outlook can no longer save messages as PDF directly. Converting the .msg here works on Windows, Mac, Chromebook and phones.
Old Outlook messages in other languages
Older .msg files store text in the sender's code page. FileOpens detects it, so Chinese, Cyrillic, Greek and other scripts come out readable instead of as random symbols. Have an .eml file? Use EML to PDF.

Questions about e-mail to PDF
Does it work for meeting requests, contacts and tasks?
Yes. Outlook saves those as .msg too; the PDF shows their text, dates and attachments.
Is it really free?
Yes. Converting one e-mail to PDF is free, with no account and no watermark. We keep it free because it costs us little; Publisher conversions and whole mailboxes are the paid part of FileOpens.
What happens to my e-mail?
It is used only to make your PDF and is deleted automatically 24 hours after upload, together with the PDF and the attachments. Nobody reads it.
Are pictures from the internet loaded?
No. For your privacy and safety, nothing is downloaded from the internet while the PDF is made. Pictures attached to the e-mail are shown; pictures linked from websites (often tracking images) are left out.
What about attachments?
They are listed in the header of the PDF, and you can download them all as one ZIP file, exactly as they were.
Can I convert a whole mailbox?
Yes: upload the .mbox file on MBOX to PDF (Gmail, Thunderbird, Apple Mail). Outlook .pst files are coming soon.
